Second wave?! -Week 5, 2021 – Project 365
The second month of the year already! So I am on the week 5 of Project 365 where I share one photograph daily for 365 days. I am so proud of myself that I posted until now on this challenge since consistency is not really one of my strong points! So here are our stories from the last week. Saturday, January 30, 2021 My mother loves plants, pots and plates. As a child, I used to tease her that she has to buy a plate every time we went for grocery shopping. Now my 5-year-old asks, ‘Momma, are you happy because you have got new plants?’ (When we shifted to…

Home, Kids & Around! – Week 2, 2021 – Project 365
Sunday, January 10, 2021 We moved house in the middle of the pandemic in March 2020. Our house hasn’t really been furnished much or arranged well. Though I don’t like many small decor items (cos hello dust) I really love some minimalistic decor. I got this print from Saleha Art. I should have printed it to A3size which would have been better actually! ( and IKEA Qatar is having some pretty good sales until Feb 13, FYI) How do you like decorating your house? Monday, January 11, 2021 Tuesday, January 12, 2021 My daughters wanted me to stick the rest of these glow-in-the-dark stars. (Amazon Affiliate) My initial response was…

Living by the beach.
It has been nearly 2 years since we moved. By the beach. Every morning when I wake up, the first thing I do is pull up the curtains and look at the beach. There is something calming about water. Deep blue. Or deep green. Or some days it is lifeless and pale. When the wall does not contain the energy, I take my kids to the beach. We have gone to the beach since my baby was 3 months. Baby in a carrier. Holding tightly to my toddler. While we three cross the busy main road. It is a sight, probably. There is something about the sand and the water…

Eid traditions with children + Giveaway
(A collaboration with David Charles London) Growing up in Doha, one of the best parts about celebrating Eid and Ramadan was experiencing the entire country being illuminated and the spirit of the festival being publicly celebrated. We did not have to make it look like Eid at home because “Eid” was just everywhere – banners, lights and decorations, Eid sale, Eid entertainment for the kids in mall and park, fireworks etc. But we had these simple traditions at home which made it more exciting and helped me learn the spirit of the festival as a child. I want to continue the same with my children too. Some of the Eid traditions…

Newborn Cloth Diapering with Bumpadum
One of the first baby stuff I brought as soon as I got to know I am pregnant is …cloth diapers. That too Bumpadum cloth diapers. I got to know about Bumpadum when we were almost at the end of our cloth diapering journey with our first-born. I had loved the prints back then and decided I would surely buy them for my next child. Later on, Bumpadum contacted me for a review opportunity of their products and I surely said yes! Newborn Cloth Diapering If there is one thing most moms are not comfortable with, it is the concept of cloth diapering a newborn. Because the reality is…we have…
