    Unique in His uniqueness

Every leaf that flutters. Every branch that sways. Every foliage that has changed it shade to the autumn yellow. Every dew drop on every petal of every colour – red or purple, magenta or white. Every secret of the blue sky.  Every sunset that bursts with the brilliant chroma of orange.  Every land that looks brown, white or green from the plane window. Every object of every colour seen – indigo, violet, pink or grey. Every thought of every human being. Every cell-size of every being that breathes. Soulmate

For 25 years, I have lived away from you. I dont recall the first time I felt the sorrow of being separated from you. I dont know your name or your likes. Heck, I dont know even know when and where we will eventually meet. I am passionately awaiting your return, yet I am not mindlessly pining for it, without getting my work done. In the loneliness of being separated from you, I have leaned closer to God. Loneliness was my nudge to get on to the path. My push to prolong my Sajdah (prostration). At the age of 16, I thought happiness would evade me, have I not had a mobile phone. At 18, I thought getting in to the top ranked university would make me happy. At age 20, ‘trim down’ was on top of the list-of-things that would make me happy. At the age of 23, when I became a doctor, I presumed I conquered happiness. At the age of 24, I thought a man would make me happy. How…

    She.

She gets excited when she notices I am wearing a new dress. She rubs her thumb with the index finger when she is bored. She is scared of the cat, yet she makes sure her mom has not forgotten to keep food on a plate, near the back door. She loves making knots with small ropes. She collects colourful paper bits, post-it notes and stickers. Rumbled bed sheets will be straightened out by her, immediately. Crowds of people distress her. For 24 years, she has not spoken a word. She is my little sister (cousin). Sans words, she teaches us life. (This is written for Write Tribe’s 100 words on Saturday…

    Hello world!

Hello ! Assalamualaikum. Stepping into the world of WordPress – one dizzy foot at a time. I have been on the blogosphere since 2008. To be precise, a personal blog on blogspot. I intend to explore a different genre of writing, on a different platform, hence the frog jump. Writing has been my outlet for untold emotions, unsaid words, unheard regrets and unfulfilled dreams. My goal for 2014 is to participate in Writing Prompts and engage myself more in creative writing. The theme of the posts in this blog will mostly revolve around faith, spirituality and books. I seek to find through this vast interconnected blog world, like minded people…
