Graduation – Week 12, 2021, Project 365

Week 12 of 2021 Alhamdulilah! Sharing a picture daily from our small world as part of Project 365

Daughter is having her Virtual Graduation day and Annual day on Monday so went to buy some glittery shiny stuff from Rawnaq – the one stop shop for all art-craft-décor tidbits. Don’t you feel the pandemic has placed an undue load on the parents where we have to arrange everything?

7 years ago on this day, we met. Now we are busy doing a project for our daughter’s graduation day on our living room floor with our two minions as assistants. ( Making the graduation hat!)

Alhamdulilah.

If I had to choose again, I would choose you all over again.

Alhamdulilah

Done with her KG-2! Alhamdulilah. A virtual Graduation Day & Annual Day. She even performed a dance! We thoroughly enjoyed the activities by all the tiny tots! Off to new school in April, insha Allah!

Playing float or sink with all the random tidbits they got from the house. Even papers 😀 The innocence called childhood.

I was working on the Ramadan article for Muslimah Bloggers. Well, the kids wanted the dry flowers 😀 I am so excited that Ramadan is almost here. Allahumma Bhalighna Ramadan!

Thursday was the final class for Kg-2 where they had rainbow day celebrations. It was lovely to see all the excited young ones!

As the Covid cases are rising and have been continually been above 500/ day and more, the ministry has announced increased restrictions from today onwards. So no malls for below 12 years of age. No indoor gathering and outdoor gathering with a very less number of people. We can still go to the beach and park with just our families but I am starting to feel a little sad – this Ramadan is also probably going to be an isolated Ramadan without the Taraweeh and Ifthar meets. I am just kind of depressed thinking about it… I know I should also be thankful that we never had a 100% lockdown like other countries, but still…

We stayed at home and just lazed around today! ( Hence no pictures other than random furniture in the house! :D)

  1. I love that your daughter had a virtual graduation day and I’m glad she enjoyed it. Good luck to her with starting her new school in April. That beef curry looks very tasty. Sorry to hear that restrictions are increasing for you and Ramadan will be more isolated than you’d hoped. #project365

  2. Sorry you’re now on tighter restrictions. You’re lucky not to have had any lockdowns. Thankfully we seem to be coming out the other side but I guess things might change. How cute having a graduation.

  3. The Graduation Day sounds very exciting and that curry looks so good.
That is great your husband has had his vaccine. My fella and daughter have had theirs and I’m having mine on Saturday.
So sorry you are having more restrictions especially with Ramadan coming up. x

  4. Congratulations on the graduation. Glad to hear your husband had very few side effects, I am yet to have the jab although my husband has. Sorry to hear about the increased restrictions and the impact it is likely to have on Ramadan.

  5. We don’t really have graduation days in the UK except for university but I like the way children are celebrated by other countries. Our covid numbers are dropping but still 3-5000 cases a day #project365

  6. Happy 7th anniversary of meeting your husband! lovely projects for the Graduation day. The curry looks tasty!
Sorry to hear that the cases are going up, and that the Ramadan celebrations will be restricted.

  7. Looks like my comment didn’t go through. Hmm, will try again. Happy 7th anniversary meeting your husband! The crafts project for the Graduation day look pretty, and the curry looks tasty. Sorry to hear about the number of cases going up and the Ramadan restrictions.

  8. I love the idea of a virtual graduation. It seems odd that children under 12 cannot go to malls – here we are advised to shop alone, but still allow kids in as a lot of people are single parents

  9. I really like the sound of the virtual graduation but sorry it has meant more work for you! You have done a fab job with the graduation hat. Glad your husband has had his first jab and didn’t do too badly with side effects. That’s a shame about malls as I know your girls liked their trips to the mall.

Howdy ! Drop a line if you enjoyed the article (Or did not!)
