This post is part of the A to Z Challenge. My theme for the month is A to Z of words in English with an Arabic origin.
….we are nearly at the end of this long 26 days Challenge ! Today’s post is about the name of a Middle Eastern country.
(Possibly, the name suggests the georgraphic location of Yemen on the southernmost tip of Arabian Peninsula. Another tradition suggests the word derives from the expression al-Yumn which means grace and blessing.)
Good word. And one left to go!
I like the connection with grace and blessing!Aditi, A2Z survivor
Salam sis, you know I would love to step into Yemen one day insyaAllah. Hearing my asatizah share their tales of studying in Hadhramaut, Yemen, one cannot help but wonder how it is to be there MashaAllah.
Anyway, I have nominated you for a Liebster Award for your great blog. 🙂 You can read all the details here on my post to find out what to do next:
