It was Qatar National Sports Day today and a national holiday (Celebrated on the second Tuesday of February to promote a healthy lifestyle) We didnt venture out anywhere due to the rising cases.
My favorite corner of the house which I intended to be a reading space. Eventually it ended up being work from home space/ jumping up and down space/bird-watching space/ even a place for napsđ
I was about to take a picture when she correctly positions herself and even opens a book haha. No-pictures-without-me phase of toddlerhood.

For a child, everything is a wonder. Light falling through the windows. Shadows moving as they move. The shapes on the floor.
Do we have the same curiosity and wonder now that we had as children? Why does it reduce with age?
This enthusiastic curiosity doesnât have to diminish with age. Learning occurs naturally when we make situations and conditions that are safe to satisfy this curiosity of our children.
Our duty as parents is to give them supportive environment, offer experiences as per their age and to explore their curiosity together with the same enthusiasm. (And not to be like – âoh that is shadow. No big dealâ – NO) Allow them to ask questions. Tell them âI donât knowâ âWe will read on Google or find the answer from a bookâ. Allow them to guess the answers.

The mall looks very empty; your daughter looks tiny in all that space! I love the shoebox football pitch, what a fun idea for a shoebox craft. The shopping centre is so empty. Ours is more busy, despite lockdown. We don’t have a reading space, although my son builds dens – mostly to watch youtube on his laptop in.

Wow the mall looks so quiet! Our main shopping centre is basically shut as all the non essential shops are shut

I can totally understand taking small steps when out. Its all been very home based this past year. I haven’t been in a supermarket for over a year. The last time we went into town it was in the even when the shops were shut #365

That’s very sweet of your youngest making a picture for her sister. A trip to the mall for groceries is an adventure right now, I miss having a whole world to explore. Lockdown seems to be going on forever here.
