Curtains down, 2014.

2014. I have so much to write and express about this year yet words fail me when I am deeply emotional.

“There are years that ask questions and years that answer” – Zora Neale Hurston.

Definitely this has been a year of answers. Alhamdulilah. I wrote this on Jan 1, 2014. It’s wonderful to look back at your old posts and realize  you have everything you wanted back then. 2 out of these Three wishes have been granted. Alhamdulilah. Yet, Scotland Dreams did not materialize. But then, that is how life is. We achieve some dreams, we fail in some of our goals and sometimes we lost track of some of our dreams due to responsibilities and complexities of life.

My entire 2014 has been fixated on this wonderful person who is my best friend and lover, partner and husband- all rolled into one. I often ask myself what goodness have I done in this life to deserve such kindness. Just then rationality and logic springs a visit and teaches me every single person deserves love. The flaws we see in ourselves are not necessarily so, rather traits unique to oneself.

I am excited and nervous for 2015. Insha’Allah. There is this tiny individual whom I haven’t yet met, but whose tiny fingers and feet I am already infatuated with. God Protect.

Raajii from Writings For Life asked the blogosphere to share the books they read in 2014. Here are some of my reads. For the complete list, see Goodreads.

I wish you and yours a safe and peaceful year. Adios.
