Beautiful Beginnings

Hello !

Do people read me here anymore?

The April A to Z Challenge bought in many new readers for my blog yet ironically I have been missing in action on my blog since then !

Over the course of past few months my life changed completely. Alhamdulilah. I met, fell in love and got married to a wonderful man. As I go through the first few steps of my married life, I cannot help but wonder how immensely blessed I am. To have a family I was heartbroken to leave, yet, to be blessed with another family who openly and wholeheartedly welcomed me into their midst. Alhamdulilah. It’s not the big things in life that counts, it’s the little acts of kindness and love showered upon you that makes life worthwhile.

Little did I know when I wrote this blog post, I would meet him just exactly a few months later. The ways of destiny are truly miraculous!

Marriage completes half of faith, taught our beloved Prophet Muhammad PBUH. I pray our marriage is filled with Mawaddha ( love), Rahmah (mercy) and Sakinah ( tranquillity). May He bring us both closer to Him and closer to each other.

On another note, the blessed month of Ramadan began yesterday. I have over joyously waited for this month all these years yet this time my preparations are dismal. I pray I can make good use of this month henceforth. May you all have a blessed month filled with introspection and prayers.

Let this month be not just be a fast from food and water but also a fast from meaningless interactions and every action and behaviour that takes us far from God !

Blessed Ramadan !

God bless.

  1. Congratulations!!! That is fantastic news! I am very happy for you! I pray you have a blessed Ramadan, that’s where you fast for a month and it’s like the Christian Lent kinda right? May I ask what Alhamdulilah means? Sorry if I am asking to many questions I am very curious about your faith, and love learning. Only through learning and awareness can we grow in understanding and tolerance. God bless you my friend, may God bless this beautiful next chapter of your life!

Yeah, Ramadan is the month where we fast from dawn to dusk abstaining from food, water n sexual relations.

Alhamdulilah means ‘All Praise be to God’. In the above context I have said it for all the blessings showered upon me. ๐Ÿ™‚

1 year + 7 months over since I updated this post.

1 year + 7 months , a baby, a new job and a new house later, I still say I have been blessed immensely by Allah for this beautiful marriage.

Those lonely, patient years of waiting during my college years trying to protect myself from all the fitna around paid off in the form of an amazing person who compliments me in every way! Alhamdulilah…
